El Yaque is one of the reasons Europeans cross the Atlantic to get to Margarita. It blows cross-shore almost every day from eleven until sunset, the lagoon is flat and shallow, and you can walk back in if you come up short. That combination makes it one of the best places on earth to learn, and to rack up freestyle hours without fear.
