La Caranta is the headland closing Pampatar bay on the eastern side. From the top you see the fort, the town, the anchored boats and open water towards the mainland. At the end of the day it fills with couples and with people who come to sit on the rock with something to drink. It is free, it is public, and at that hour it is one of the loveliest places on the island.
