Margarita’s most famous sunset, from a fort above the bay.

The fort crowns the hill closing Juan Griego bay, and from the top you see everything: the town, the harbour, the salt lagoon and the open western horizon. Juan Griego faces west, which is why the sun here drops literally into the sea. It is the island’s gathering point at the end of the day, and the view earns its reputation.
