Playa Manzanillo

A fishing village on a closed bay, boats hauled up on the sand.

Duration
2–4 h

Manzanillo is a deep sheltered bay at the northern tip, with a fishing village that still lives off the sea. Painted boats sit on the sand, nets are mended at the waterline, and the fish you eat came in that morning. It is not an umbrella-and-cocktail beach: it is a beach for eating well and seeing how the island actually works.
