Los Frailes are a group of bare rock islets northeast of Margarita, with no population, no services and nothing built on them. The boat leaves from Playa El Tirano and takes about an hour. What you find are coves of impossibly clear turquoise water, rock walls thick with life and enormous seabird colonies. It is the trip everyone remembers above all the others.
